The following is my personal review of The Scott Arms, Kingston, Dorset.

This pubs's standing with Dude is very good indeed, four stars and a bit, could become a legend.

If you visited the Scott Arms, Kingston during the b.c era (before creole ;O) you would have a found a dismal affair run by a pub chain with no soul let alone the new creole, save for a long standing and excellent barman.

These days however I am pleased to report that this famous pub with one of the best views in Dorset is now a bit of a legend in it's own lunchtime once more. With great food, real ale, cider and bacchus in taberna, plus a jerk shack, when the mercury rises above 70, after a few (too many?) of your favourite tipple you could forget you were in England.

Now run since 2009 by Simon, Nicki and Ian and with a passion for excellence, you will find little to disappoint.

In pub food terms it does very well, positively restaurant like in fact, with a sound regular menu and some great specials, and the Jerk shack produces via some smoke and real Jamaican magic sweet and spicy scrumptiousness on a plate for the hazy lazy days.

Cyclists love it as a stop off, as do walkers, the view of Corfe Castle (I reckon cowboy builders... still looks to be unfinished!) is wonderful.

I highly recommend it as one of the best pubs in Dorset for its culinary positives when combined with location... the garden is a must visit on a sunny day.
